About Bleil Plumbing
I am trying to build this website myself so please excuse any errors in HTML, Layout,
English and Grammar… Someone from an advertising company told me that our slogan, “From
Curb Stop to Roof Top One-Call-Does-It-All” was bad because it is saying we do everything
including roofing. My intention was that we can do the plumbing up to and including the roof
vent and roof drain including repairing the ceiling, walls, and flooring. We do not do roofing but
the vent pipe usually does go through the roof and has what is called a roof flange to keep the
water out. I think “curb stop to roof top” sort of rhymes and does not sound bad but if it gives the
wrong impression maybe I should delete it or change it somehow.
Most of my training and experience has been in the building trades and I don’t do much
Writing, Marketing, or Web Development. Perhaps some day I will be able to afford to hire a
professional for all the things my brother Rick and I need published.
I will try to give you a little history and tell you what we are about on this page. I need to
take the time to think and write about all the things my brother Rick has done and I will do that at
a later date.
If anyone has any suggestions or constructive criticism about this page or anything else, I
would appreciate it if you would send me an email. What do you think about the slogan?
Keith G Bleil, RMP
Keith Bleil has been doing business as Bleil Plumbing since December of 2000 after passing
the Philadelphia Master Plumber examination. Handyman’s Workshop, Inc. has been the parent
of Bleil Plumbing since 2013 but that is subject to change. We are a family business no matter if
we operate under a corporation or as a proprietorship. Bleil Plumbing was first listed in the
Verizon Yellow Pages under 215-289-8863 which is still our telephone number but no longer a
business listing or with Verizon.
Keith’s skilled trades career started in 1976 at Randloph Skills Center as a share-time student
in high school with Electronic Communications and Carpentry & Construction. Keith’s first
construction job in July of 1978 was as a carpenter as the Builders Assistant building new homes
in Richboro, Bucks County. After being laid off in December of 1979, Keith started in the
Building Maintenance and Property Management Industry, was promoted to Maintenance
Manager in 1982 and took care of 780 apartments until 1986 when he was laid off again and
decided to start a sole proprietorship under the fictitious name Handyman’s Workshop.
Handyman's Workshop performed Home Repairs, Remodeling, and Building Maintenance.
Keith has tested for and passed the Philadelphia Journeyman and Master Plumber
Examinations, the EPA 608 Universal and 609 Certifications, Backflow Prevention & Repair
Certification, the EPA RRP Lead Safe Certification, the OSHA 30 Certification, is currently on
the 4th book (4th year) of the apprentice course from the American Fire Sprinkler Association for
Fire Suppression Systems, and is planning on starting Solar and Geo Thermal Certifications.
Keith had his Real Estate License for a short time which is escrowed now and is a Certified
Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist.
Erick (Rick) Bleil started working in the Building Maintenance Industry doing plumbing,
carpentry, painting and general repairs in 1982. Rick worked as a plumber on a per diem basis for
several years repairing the plumbing in public housing and traveling from New York to
Rick has also worked in the Entertainment Industry since the 1980’s as a Disk Jockey and in
the Music Industry helping musicians and other people in the music industry with music and
musical instruments. Many people know Rick from Pats Music on Frankford Ave.
Rick has worked side by side with Keith for many years and is now in the process of getting
his plumbing licenses and other certifications. We applied for an Apprentice Card for Rick about
two years ago but the City of Philadelphia never cashed the check or sent us any sort of renewal
notice or anything. We have asked people down at L&I but nobody seems to know anything. It
seems two years are wasted and nothing can be done.
Rick is Backflow Certified and has his EPA 608 Universal and OSHA 30 Certification. Rick
is a co-owner of Handyman’s Workshop, Inc.
Bleil Plumbing now specializes in Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and Drain
Cleaning. We can also perform Water Damage Repair, Kitchen, Bathroom, and Basement
Remodeling. Creating Recreation Rooms are at the top of the list of our favorite jobs.
With Our Carpentry & Construction, Plumbing, and Building Restoration experience, We
can repair or replace almost anything. How may we help you?
